UFC 269 was a complete blockbuster and the co-main event between Julianna Pena and Amanda Nunes was no doubt the show-stealer. Dana White talks about the next big move of the UFC bringing in Kayla Harrison.

UFC 269 saw the greatest woman fighter of all time, Amanda Nunes take on a massive underdog Julianna Pena for the bantamweight belt. Pena did the unbelievable and created a massive upset by stopping Nunes in the second round and becoming the new bantamweight champion at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Leading into the PPV event, UFC and Dana White had some big things planned for the GWOAT, Amanda. Two-time PFL champion Kayla Harrison is a free agent now and is very close to joining the Ultimate Fighting Championship. UFC was targeting a super-fight between the two superstars. Dana says the fight is still a possibility.

“For like a Kayla Harrison, the Amanda Nunes fight was huge. If they would have faced off, it would have been a massive, you know, mega-million dollar fight,” said UFC President talking to the media. However, Dana followed it with a big “if” saying, “If Amanda Nunes had won tonight, the Kayla Harrison fight would have been the biggest fights you would have ever seen.”

There is a high chance that “The Lioness” herself wants to take on a rematch to reclaim her throne as the bantamweight champion instead of opting for a super-fight against a very close teammate, Kayla. One also has to consider that Nunes has been in the business for a very long time and has one of the best, if not THE best resume in the entire fighting world.

A big-money fight against Harrison wouldn’t be the end of the world either for the Brazilian. Kayla on the other hand has said many times that she is open to coming to the UFC for the right amount of money.
