UFC and WWE are finally coming together as they announced a merger, and it is expected that it will benefit both companies. As the president of UFC, Dana White is pretty excited about the deal; however, his relationship with Vince McMahon has been through a lot in the past.
While explaining Vince McMahon, Dana White once mentioned that McMahon is a true businessman and a very competitive individual. He said: “He’s a killer. He’s buried the hatchet in my back a few times, but that’s what you’re dealing with. You don’t deal with a killer and not expect him to try to kill you.”
White also revealed how he gave good seats to McMahon when he came to UFC PPV events, but it wasn’t the case when White went to WrestleMania. “I gave him much better seats than he gave me, when I went to see Ronda. We were in the f****ng rafters… people were coming up to me and going, ‘Why are you sitting in these seats?’ I said, ‘Well, this is where they sat me, so f**k ’em, I’m gonna sit right here,” said White.
Nevertheless, White has a lot of respect for McMohan for what he has been able to achieve with WWE and this deal will definitely bring more revenues for both the companies.
Dana White talks about Vince McMahon’s son Shane McMohan wanting to buy UFC in early 2000s

Now that the deal between the UFC and WWE has finally taken place, fans are excited about it. Some might be surprised to know that WWE was ready to buy the UFC way back in 2001.
During an interview, Dana White once mentioned that Shane McMohan, who is the son of Vince McMahon, once tried to convince White for not buying UFC. Back then, the WWE was eager to buy the promotion but failed to do so.
“He [Shane McMahon] actually tried to talk us down into buying the UFC back in the day. You know, Vince I love you but I bet you wish you did,” said White.
It is hard to imagine what would have happened if UFC had been bought by WWE back in the day. Nevertheless, it was great that White got the deal along with the Fertitta brothers and made UFC a premier MMA promotion.
