Dana White on Jake Paul

UFC President Dana White has once again been forced to talk about the YouTube boxer Jake Paul.

Dana White has been doing plenty of interviews recently promoting the upcoming big UFC event, UFC 265 which is headlined by an interim heavyweight title bout between Derrick Lewis and Ciryl Gane. For his promotion, he appeared on the Full Send Podcast recently. In the podcast, they spoke about Addison Rae, Donald Trump, and the “Prblm Child” Jake Paul. The hosts ask what Dana felt about Paul and if he would work with him again and the boss had a very interesting answer.

“I just don’t see it happening,” the UFC president said on a recent episode of the Full Send Podcast (h/t BJPenn.com). “I don’t hate the kid. Is he f*cking annoying? Yeah, he’s annoying. He’s out there trying to make that money, and his shelf life is very f*cking short.”

“Listen, I never say never, but I highly doubt it (working with Paul),” he added. “It’s just not what I do. There’s a market for that. He could fight a different type of celebrity every week, and there’s going to be a segment of the population that wants to pay for that and see it, but that’s not what I do. I put the best against the best.”

After this interview hit Jake’s radar he responded on Twitter writing, “Dana said this morning that I’m losing my appeal and that my shelf life is very short. Because of this, I have given up my life and now am an employee of my brothers’ company – Maverick Enterprises. Thank you all, it’s been a fun journey.” This was a sarcastic poke at the UFC boss’ comments.
