Khamzat Chimaev has been a propitious prospect in UFC and it’s only reasonable considering the dominance he achieved in his UFC career. By absorbing only 4 strikes in the first 4 UFC fights it indicates that his talent is exceptional and unprecedented.
However, for the first time in his career, Khamzat was forced to overcome adversity. Even though Khamzat came out victorious it does reveal to the MMA community that Khamzat is beatable and just as human as any other. Khamzat himself admitted this in the post-fight interview where he stated, “The guy was tough, I didn’t accept that. From the first second to the last second, I tried to finish him. Next time, I’m going to work to be a little bit smarter. I’m going to smash somebody.”
Many critics around the world are under the impression that Khamzat is a great prospect and starling talent, but he is not what he was perceived to be, and from now onwards he will be looked at from a different point of view.

Dana White was very much impressed by Khamzat’s performance, he says it’s incredibly tough to break into the top 5 rankings, and Khamzat passed the test with flying colors. He claims Khamzat is going to be the next megastar, and his next fight against Colby Covington is more possible than ever.
Talking about his position in the UFC, Dana said, “All these other guys who didn’t want to fight him before I am sure they will be looking at him differently now too. But that’s what happens when you break into the top 5 in the world in any of these weight classes. You are going to be the absolute best in the world.”
Dana was on the edge of his seat for this fight, and he said it was one of the best welterweight fights he’s seen in a while. It was constant back and forth, but Khamzat stayed true to his game plankham to get the win.
