Khabib Nurmagomedov gave his opinion about the ‘Uselessness‘ of the ring girls in the UFC last year following a lot of backlash from the MMA community and his fans. The Dagestani champ was labeled a ‘Sexist‘ for giving his opinion.
It seemed like Khabib was under fire from all angles following his comments as former fighters and even the ring girls themselves spoke out against him, slamming him for his beliefs although Laura Sanko, Valentina Schevchenko, and a few others popped in for The eagle’s support.
When Khabib started his own promotion was asked why there were no ring girls over at Eagle FC to which the Russian replied “I don’t want to offend anyone, ring girls are the most useless people in martial arts.” which clearly blew out of proportion as he was asked for his opinion.
Dillon Danis who is also called as Conor’s personal TP by the Dagestani group of fighters recently mocked Khabib Nurmagomedov in a tweet that displayed a meme, cutting open the old wounds of the whole ‘Ring girl’ controversy. Danis targeted Khabib just to create some more controversy over social media and to maintain the traction and was nonetheless a hilarious meme.

Khabib couldn’t care less about what the people say about him and says that he is entitled to his own opinion just like everyone else, which does make a fair point as other UFC fighters get away with saying a lot worse. Khabib said in an interview:
“I have a question, you can show it is the second round that is on the screen. There are people who understand martial arts and they are walking. This is my personal opinion Do they develop the sport? Or they help people to see it is the second round now?” “I realize that it is a history. History knows many mistakes. We read history to avoid mistakes of the past in the future. If we look in the history it says they are useless. That is my personal opinion.”
Former UFC champion Michael Bisping, who defended ring girls such as Celeste and Palmer on his podcast said: “They’re a little bit extra for the show. And I like it because it’s historic in boxing and now with MMA, of course. It’s a little bit of fun.” “I’m a huge fan of Khabib. But come on, man! Let the girls have a job. They make a lot of money with sponsorships and endorsements.” Conor McGregor also tweeted a graphic Simpson’s meme where Khabib is ashamed to look at bold women (In the meme).
