“Doing physical therapy”- Kamaru Usman offers an update on his recovery, reveals potential timeline for return

Kamaru Usman was caught outside the latest Eagle Fc event on-air with Schmo and shed some light upon his future endeavors and talks about his recovery. Kamaru broke his hand three weeks prior to the Colby Covington fight last year.
Kamaru showed undeniable heart going into the fight with a broken hand which he alleged to have broken it on Justin Gaethje‘s head while sparring. Usman however underwent a ligament surgery this year in February, which the UFC prez tweeted about.
‘The Nigerian Nightmare‘ says he aims at returning to the octagon this July against Leon Edwards and jokingly says that he’s got no problem to wait until the champ gets healed to Schmo. The Doctors haven’t given the green light for July as of now but Usman and the fans do hope to see him back in the octagon as soon as possible.
“The hand is recovering good, surgery went well, now I’m doing therapy. Hopefully, I would like to fight in July. That’s what I’m shooting for but these doctors are saying I need to get this time because I don’t want to punch a hole in something and punch another hole in my hand, so I need to definitely make sure that my hand heals the proper way because these are the money makers.”

Kamaru Usman who is known for being the #1 pound for pound welterweight champ is all set to go and get the WBC belt from Canelo Alvarez in a boxing match, says that he’s got the ‘Cajones’ to step in the ‘Box’ and is ready to get challenged.
Kamaru and Canelo have been talking about fighting each other for quite some time now but Usman says that he still has unfinished business inside the octagon to finish first. Leon Edwards who is seemingly ready to fight the champ will have to wait for the opportunity until the champ heals and then try to take the belt from him, mostly which will take place after July.
Kamaru Usman adds that guys like Vincente Luque and Belal Muhammed who are coming for his belt have to fight it out against each other and one contender has to emerge from it who will face him to take his fame, until then he says that He’s going to reign over the division and hopes to fight the P4P boxing champ Alvarez in the biggest combat event ever.
