“Thug Froze”- Fans bashes Rose Namajunas’ fiance Pat Barry for his terrible advice at UFC 274

Rose Namajunas recently at UFC 274 was challenged by Carla Esparza for the women’s
strawweight title. Going to the fight, Namajunas was the favourite and everybody was expecting a great showdown.
But the reality was totally opposite as both fighters didn’t even try to fight. Both Esparza and Namajunas missed many shots and went 5 rounds with little to see action. In the end, Esparza edged Namajunas and won the fight via split decision.
After the fight many fans and followers, blamed Namajunas’s cornermen especially Patt Barry who is also her fiance for bad advice.
Between the rounds, Barry was explaining to Namajunas that she is doing just fine and to continue that. He said :
“Everything we expected. You punched her in her head twice and her forehead is red and so is her lips…you here the boos, you are doing it right.”
Rose Namajunas’ recent apology post Instagram draws fight world’s reaction
After losing her title and showing a forgettable performance as the former champion, Namajunas recently posted a written message on her Instagram account.
In the post, the fighter explained that it was her fault that she lost the fight and currently she is feeling miserable. Namajunas credited Esparza for her performance and thanked her supporters.
“Sorry to everyone I f* up definitely feel like a shitty human being but this will make me better hats off to Carla and thanks to everyone who’s been there for me,” wrote Namajunas.
After the post was made by the fighter, there were various reactions in the comment section. Many showed their support for the fighters and some took the opportunity to troll her. Here are some of the most notable reactions.
Former UFC strawweight champion, Joanna Jerdrzeczyk gave some words of encouragement to Namajunas with her comment.
“Don’t be sorry Champ! You don’t have to. It’s a tough business we’re in! Get some rest!!?,“wrote Jerdrzeczyk.
Jéssica Andrade who is also a former UFC strawweight champion gave props to Namajunas and explained that she deserved the win not Esparza. She wrote :
“You are amazing, a true champion. this victory shouldn’t have gone to carla. I’m with you ❤️??.”
One fan named @peruvian_neck_ty claimed the fight was extremely bad and criticized Namajunas post fight remarks.
“Worst fight ever and then u walk around all pompous discrediting Carla after doing absolutely nothing“
A follower named @elaponate revealed that both the fighters are undeserving for the belt and a rematch is required.
“Neither of you deserve that belt. A rematch is Needed. Karla was just as scared. “
Another fan blamed Namajunas Cornor for giving bad advice to the fighter and ruining her fight.
“Your the best!! Shitty corner advice for me.. Trevor should be in charge and pay for motivation.”
Another follower had the same remark about the fight as he suggested Namajunas to keep Pat Barry out of the corner during the fight.
“Pats gotta get out of the corner…and terrible advice from him.”
A fan explained that Barry was coming in the way of Trevor whittamn.
“Please let your bf never in your corner again, trevor was telling you to let it go.”
Another fan jokingly roasted Namajunas by calling her “Thug Froze” in his comment.
It was a very hard fight to see as fans and a user commented that it’s good that Namajunas is now getting it. “We will never get that 25 minutes back I’m glad you feel bad.”
