“Far from over”- Jorge Masvidal promises a triumphant return to the octagon

Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal at UFC 272

Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington go the distance at UFC 272 and put on a display of amazing skills in the Octagon. Colby scored a Unanimous Decision win against Jorge in a dominant fashion. Jorge ‘Gambred‘ Masvidal has been on the losing streak since he last won his BMF title in 2019 against Nate Diaz.

Jorge and Colby had their moments in the octagon making the fight a pretty exciting one. Colby mixed it up really well but also got his hands dirty, eye-poking, and groin striking Masvidal a few times. Jorge had a potential turning point when he dropped Colby in the fourth round. Colby bounced right back up and Jorge was supposedly too tired to take Colby out.

Jorge Masvidal just blatantly accepts that he has to work on his wrestling abilities, says that his ‘wrestling was off‘, says that he’s going to smoke a ‘Fat Joint’ and eat a couple of cheeseburgers and head straight back to work. Jorge recently tweeted after the fight that the beef with Colby was ‘Far from over’ and adds that he ‘Will be back‘ just like ‘The Terminator’ does.

Does this mean we would get to see a second and possibly a third matchup between the friends turned foes? Only time will tell but Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington both to remain in the UFC for the foreseeable future which could mean a crossing of paths yet again.

Jorgie has made his decision of staying back and fighting for only the UFC after signing his next contract which ensures him to be in contention with the top fighters of the division. Masvidal recently got bumped up to being the Thrid highest-paid fighter in the UFC given his fights do bring a lot of eyeballs to it.

His tweet just days before the fight, rule out the possibility of him leaving the UFC and also sadly tears down Jake Paul’s dreams of fighting a boxing match with him. Jorge could have to take a different route and probably could have gambled with his career in boxing but instead, thanks the UFC for ‘Not letting his Children go hungry.’ in a tweet just days before his fight, bumping him up to the top three highest-paid fighters in the UFC.
