UFC Fight Night this weekend is headlined by featherweights Calvin Kattar and Josh Emmett. Kattar is coming off a spectacular win early this year by securing a dominant victory over the prospect in Giga Chikadze. Kattar had to bounce back from a decisive yet gruesome loss against former UFC Featherweight champion Max Holloway last year. For Kattar, he just needs to keep the expectations rising and rising in order to get a title fight.

Emmett on the other hand is on a 4-fight winning streak. His last fight was a dominant unanimous decision victory against Dan Ige. Kattar is a savage boxer trained out of the New England Cartel. Kattar is however diverse with his attacks and can even land a sneaky elbow strike just like he did in his fight against Chikadze and how he knocked out Stephens with the same strike. It’s in Kattar’s instincts to find the perfect spot to land a perfect cross and deliver a powerful uppercut in return for the opponent closing the distance as he did in his fight against Burgos.

Emmett is a perfect boxer for landing jaw-dropping hooks or overhand punches. His fight with Lamas and Johnson is a perfect example of his execution of the short-range or even distant attack. Safe to say both Kattar and Emmett have worked immensely upon their grappling as well as they evolved as a fighter.
