Pedro Munhoz

Pedro Munhoz

Munhoz has a remarkable record of 18-4 in the UFC and has lost all his four fights to ranked bantamweight, three of them are still ranked among top 10. He will be looking to expand his dominance after an unanimous decision setback to Aljamain Sterling at UFV 238 in 2019. Munhoz holds an amazing resume of KO’s/TKO’s. He has has a KO 2 in over Cody Garbrandt at UFC 235 and has also tapped Ron Font.

In addition to this, he lands deadly blows and fast punches. He has average of landing 5.29 punches per minute. His takedown percentage is also impressive with 81.8 percent. Munhoz can use these things in favour to register another victory.

But he is not facing small opponent. Frankie Edgar also has an impressive record of 22-8-1. Although, he is ageing now but still very dangerous inside the cage. One thing that won’t work in his favour is that it is his debut in the bantamweight division.

Edgar seems to have less things in favour than Munhoz. He has lost to Max Holloway at UFC 240 in July, 2019. After that, he suffered a humiliating first round TKO/Ko loss to Chang Sung Jung, famously called ‘The Korean Zombie.’

Unfortunately, Edgar is regarded as a foe by everyone and he will have to be extra sure to defend any KO/TKO by Munhoz as Munhoz holds three KO wins. Besides that, Edgar has lost two fights via KO.

Munhoz vs Edgar-Prediction

As evident above, odds are more favouring Munhoz. Munhoz is well settled in bantamweight division while Edgar is making his debut. Besides that Edgar has gone through weight cut which will most probably have a effect on him.

Edgar also has a fair amount of chance and a tough fight can be witnessed tomorrow. But you can almost bet on the fact that Pedro Munhoz will eventually come out as a winner.
