“In boxing, he’s much bigger than Tyron Woodley”- Georges St-Pierre heaps praise on Jake Paul

Jake Paul will take on Tyron Woodley on the 28th of August in his 4th professional boxing bout. The fight also marks the pro-boxing debut of newly-released UFC welterweight Woodley. Paul is 3-0 up in his professional boxing career after making his debut only in January 2020.
‘The Problem Child’ defeated fellow YouTuber AnesonGib on his pro-boxing debut. He then followed it up with a brutal knockout victory over ex-basketballer Nate Robinson. Paul then finally took on a combat sports athlete, in Ben Askren. The YouTube star made light work of Askren too, knocking him out in the very first round.
With, Paul’s hype-train growing, UFC Legend Georges St-Pierre opened up on the YouTuber taking on Woodley. In an interview with his coach Firas Zahabi, GSP claimed that Paul would probably beat Woodley in a boxing match. However, he did say that the YouTuber might not have a chance in an MMA fight.
‘He definitely can do it‘ – Georges St-Pierre on Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley
Georges St-Pierre was quoted as saying, “He could definitely. It’s a different sport. In MMA, I would say no, but in boxing, he’s much bigger than Tyron Woodley and also he’s training very hard. I’m not saying that is what going to happen but he definitely can do it.”
Tyron Woodley has no professional boxing experience. He is coming off a defeat against Vicente Luque at UFC 260, in March, earlier this year. He was released from the promotion following that loss. But the impact he has created in the welterweight division has been insane.
The former welterweight champion’s striking during his prime was simply unmatchable. He was one of the most feared strikers in the entire promotion. Jake Paul should be wary of Woodley’s neo-powerful arms that can even break through concrete.
