Georges St-Pierre, one of the greatest of all time teases a possible return to fight in the near future. However, the former double champ has some conditions if he wants to fight again.
There is nothing in his fighting career that Georges St-Pierre would regret not doing. The fighter has done it all and is one of the greatest of all time if not THE greatest. GSP made an appearance on The MMA Hour to talk about his future and current ventures with host, Ariel Helwani. When Helwani asked if the fighter is looking to return from retirement, GSP gave a very interesting answer.
The Canadian fighter has not stepped in the octagon since his win against Michael Bisping for the middleweight title. After his very successful run in the welterweight division, GSP returned after 4 years of hiatus to win the belt against Bisping in the middleweight division. It has been five years since his retirement and GSP says he does not have the heart to compete and prove that he is the best in the world.
“My serious days of fighting are over,” said GSP talking to Ariel Helwani. “Maybe you will see me do something different…you don’t ‘play’ fighting. But I don’t say never if it were to be for charity. A novelty fight, something like this. But as far as competing, trying to prove I am the strongest man in the world, those days are over.”

Georges St-Pierre reveals what might bring him back to competitive fighting
As GSP was revealing that he was done with competitive fighting, Helwani jokingly asked if he would fight YouTube sensation-turned boxer, Jake Paul in a boxing bout. Georges St-Pierre laughed it off and said, “It has to be something that excites me. It has to be something different. Maybe it will never happen,” said GSP.
GSP in the past was very close to competing in his first-ever boxing match but UFC did not allow the fighter to compete outside the promotion as long as he was in contract with the company. The Canadian was more than disappointed when Dana White and his company wouldn’t allow him to participate in a boxing match.
However, St-Pierre revealed that he will be starring in a movie and his fighting days are over. Watch the full interview of Georges St-Pierre and Ariel Helwani below:
