Tony Ferguson makes fun of Khabib's interactions with bears
Tony Ferguson won’t stop taking digs at his former rival Khabib Nurmagomedov. The UFC lightweight pokes fun of Khabib’s history with bear wrestling in his latest tweet.
If there’s one person that regrets not being able to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov, it is Tony Ferguson. “El Cucuy” and “The Eagle” have come close to fighting each other on several occasions but never actually stepped into the octagon to fight each other. Khabib announced his retirement as a champion and there is no possibility for Ferguson to fight the Dagestani.
However, this won’t stop Ferguson from taking jabs at his former rival on social media. El Cucuy posts some of the funniest tweets among MMA fighters. The former interim lightweight champion has his own cryptic way of tweeting but somehow manages to crack up MMA fans with his jokes.
In his latest tweet, Ferguson posted a troll video of a bear fighting a man and took a dig at Khabib who is famous for wrestling with bears in the past. Tony used the phrases, “LookAnEagle” and “Gets Em’ Every-time” in his tweet. Ferguson might be in the contest for the funniest Twitter accounts run by MMA fighters.
Khabib Nurmagomedov ready to sign Tony Ferguson to Eagle FC
Despite all the bad blood between the two fighters, Khabib, the MMA promoter has his doors open to sign the UFC legend. After his retirement from fighting, Nurmagomedov started his own MMA organization by the name of Eagle FC. The Dagestani has recruited UFC veterans to his promotion and said that he wouldn’t mind bringing in Ferguson.
“Anything is possible. We are open to everything,” said Khabib when asked about the possibility of signing Ferguson to Eagle FC. “Why not? These guys have built themselves throughout their careers. They have over 10 fights in the UFC, are former champions of the UFC.”
Ferguson is currently on a three-fight losing streak. The fan-favorite has not won a fight since 2019 and is currently looking to finalize a fight deal with Michael Chandler. “El Cucuy” is coming off a loss to Beneil Dariush at UFC 262 and will most likely fight at UFC 274 in 2022.
