UFC fans witnessed one of the best brawls ever in the octagon at UFC 273. Thanks to Gilbert Burns and Khamzat Chimaev. The two highly talented fighters absolutely gave their all in the main card of the fight night. The fight took place at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. The entire arena was the loudest for this welterweight showdown.

Burns gained massive respect following this fight as he did not hesitate one bit to risk his spot as the #2 ranked welterweight in the world, fighting a low ranked Khamzat, who was considered one of the biggest prospects. Burns was disrespected leading up to the fight as he was a massive underdog compared to Khamzat being the big favorite despite having only 4 fights in the promotion.

“Thank you everybody for the wishes, for the messages, it was a tough one,” said Burns in the video. “I mean, I had fun but it wasn’t the result that I wanted but unfortunately life is like that, brother. I put a lot of work, a lot of discipline, but it is what it is.”

Burns was hurt badly over his eyes and was forced to get stitches. “I’m out, but not for long. I will be back in another week. Take it easy guys,” said Burns in his injury update. Burns came into the Khamzat fight with a win against former title contender Stephen Thompson. Burns is determined to make his way back to another title shot. Watch Gilbert’s video below:
