Mark Hunt has been one of the most controversial fighters in the UFC. The Samoan heavyweight has gone against the MMA promotion for a long time and has even taken his beef to the court.

In a recent episode of MMA Hour, Mark Hunt made an appearance to talk about his ongoing case with the UFC and Dana White. The fighter was a former title contender and failed to become the interim heavyweight champion at UFC 180. The fighter has constantly fought against Dana and his company legally in court ever since his departure in 2018.

In 2016, Mark Hunt took on UFC superstar Brock Lesnar in one of the biggest PPV heavyweight matchups of all time. Both the heavyweights fought at the co-main event of UFC 200 but the aftermath of the fight is what caught more attention than the actual fight. The fight was overturned and announced as a draw after Lesnar tested positive for steroids. Mark Hunt later came out and revealed that the UFC was in on Brock fighting Hunt despite being guilty of steroids.

The fighter also said on the new show that Brock was abnormally huge for his fight at UFC 200 and did not weigh-in for the fight. Hunt while talking about Lesnar said, “When I actually met in person, on stage. I was like, ‘Damn, this n**ga is massive, he’s huge.” Watch the clipping below:

In the same interview, talking about his legal troubles because of the UFC, Mark also pointed out that the promotion is robbing fighters of their hard-earned money. The former heavyweight believes the fighters need to band together and ask for better fighter pay. Hunt also believes it is not a good time for fighters to think about pursuing combat sports as a profession.

“Get a job like anyone else, until things change with the UFC and until they start looking after their fighters, pension, health insurance, better pay,” Hunt’s advice to up-and-coming fighters. “I feel right now with the fighters, if they want to be a fighter, it’s not a good idea right now. Its just not the right time.”

Hunt was recently asked by the district court to pay the legal fees of UFC in their legal battle. The fighter also got into problems when he threatened Dana White and his company.
