“They still gonna doubt me” Henry Cejudo shocked at what makes the Alexander Volkanovski fight not happen

UFC legend and Olympic champion Henry Cejudo seems to get his competitive hunger back, all thanks to UFC Featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski. Cejudo is igniting some thoughts of his return to the UFC octagon and there doesn’t seem to be any doubt left with his couple of tweets, one of them posted recently with a video of his interview.

Cejudo last fought at UFC 249: Ferguson vs Gaethje where he TKOed Dominick Cruz defending the UFC Bantamweight Championship and retiring on top being a double champ. Volkanovski fought just last to last week at UFC 266 when he defeated Brian Ortega by a unanimous decision in what many believe to be a fight of the year candidate.

Cejudo posted a snippet of his interview with sports journalist Marc Raimondi of ESPN. Here, Cejudo tweeted for the caption: “Let me make history @danawhite (UFC President)!! Facts are facts” “Thanks for the time @espnmma @marc_raimondi, but have A LOT more to say. Tomorrow, I set the record straight once and for all on a BRAND NEW episode of The Triple C & Shmo Show. Your future featherweight champ, CCC.”

In the case of the video, Cejudo can be seen surprised as to what makes people, in general, doubt him. He says: “Man they’re still gonna doubt me with the fashion I have done it!? I don’t get it man! Hate the persona, hate the ‘cringe’, hate the character, but facts are facts man! I am the ultimate competitor and that’s all there is to it.”

He continues in the same line now talking about Volkanovski “It’s not even a challenge against Volkanovski because I know that he’s a little bit afraid that this fight can potentially beat him. This challenge is for Dana White.” After talking a bit about his fight history, Cejudo says “I promise you, Alexander ‘The Average’ (a nickname given exclusively by Cejudo) won’t last more than 3 rounds with Triple C” (Cejudo’s second nickname)

When all of this is said for the second time, then what makes it not to be done? Well, the UFC President Dana White is yet to say about it while the fans can only hope for an exciting firework, considering how we wish for fights like that of Dustin Poirier and Charles Oliveira and the UFC simply brings it to fruition, or even consider a Nick Diaz return as another case!
