‘You work too much on combinations’- Henry Cejudo offers Conor McGregor advice to improve his striking

Double champs

Conor McGregor has been updating his fans on his recovery through various training footage, that he has been posting on social media. In a recently posted clip, Henry Cejudo was quick to offer his insight as a coach.

The Notorious recently took to Twitter to share a clip from his pad session at Crumlin Boxing Club in Dublin, Ireland. He captioned the post as, “Think of your straights as swords, and your hooks as hammers.”

Cejudo, who thinks of himself highly as a coach, was quick to point of the flaws in McGregor’s techniques while offering some advice to the lightweight fighter. While referring himself to be the Greatest of all time, he tells, “Everything is done naked. No fakes, no faints, no level changes. But you think your going to get a different result. You work so much on combinations where you should be working entries, set ups, and setting traps. Just a tip from the goat”

The American Olympian and former two-division UFC champion now turned coach, explains that the Irishman was fighting more along the lines of a Boxer than what a Mixed Martial Artist should, while pointing out his punches and combinations.

But it must be worth pointing out that Conor is currently recovering from a broken leg that he incurred in his fight against Dustin Poirier and he is training in a boxing club, so the former Lightweight Champion is probably getting in the groove before he can train a little bit more heavily.

Fans however are happy to see him back on his feet and hope that he will make is comeback sometime soon.

This isn’t the first time the two legends of the UFC have been caught feuding. Cejudo has even challenged McGregor to a bout but the latter was quick to shut him down, claiming he didnt give two fu**s about the Former champ.

In his podcast, of The Triple C and The Schmo Show, Cejudo addresses his ongoing Twitter feud with the Notorius, saying, “Let me make you a deal. I will literally go up to 155 pounds to fight you if you are willing to be sober for the fight. What’s up?”

When asked how would he test Conor’s sobriety, he continues, “I don’t know man, we test his blow. Watever that is but I will literally go to 155 if Conor McGregor passes soberity. I think that’s even. I think that’s a great fight. I think that’s a great negotiation tactic.”
