Henry Cejudo pays tribute to Triple H
WWE legend Triple H gets his flowers from UFC legend Henry Cejudo as he announces retirement from pro wrestling.
Paul “Triple H” Levesque, 52, made an announcement on the First Take show with Stephen A Smith, that he is retiring from in-ring competition. Talking to the ESPN journalist, Paul broke the news of his retirement on March 25th, pulling back the curtain on what was a splendid career in pro-wrestling. Paul Levesque is one of the biggest stars in the WWE franchise.
Former two-time UFC champ Henry Cejudo, who is also an Olympic wrestler paid his tribute to the WWE star in his tweet today. “From one guy who knows a little something about gold to another, congrats @TripleH on a legendary career. Today, Triple C bends the knee to Triple H,” wrote Cejudo in his tweet.
Cejudo is an Olympic wrestler who bagged gold for his country. The fighter went on to become a two-division champion and also defend his belt in both divisions. Henry is no foreigner to WWE as the pro-wrestling franchise has made attempts in the past to rope in “Triple C”.
Why is WWE Hall of Famer Triple H retiring?
In the episode of First Take with Stephen A Smith, “As far as in-ring, which I get a lot, I’m done. I would never wrestle again,” said the WWE legend to Stephen A Smith. “First of all, I have a defibrillator in my chest so it’s probably not a good idea for me to have zapped on live TV.”
Paul Levesque explained to Stephen A and the world that he was diagnosed with viral pneumonia ahead of the SummerSlam event. The WWE legend also explained some gruesome details about how his wife, Stephanie McMahon witnessed the WWE star coughing blood which later was diagnosed by the doctors that there was fluid in his lungs.
There is no doubt that the world of WWE will miss Paul “Triple H” Levesque.
