The hype is unreal for the upcoming grudge fight between Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal. The two superstars will finally get to settle their beef inside the octagon at UFC 272 this weekend. Things get heated in a recent interview as the two rivals spew insults at each other.
With only four days to go, Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington go face to face in an interview with ESPN MMA. Celebrity reporter Stephen A Smith acts as the mediator (he tried) between the two rivals but things get out of hand when Covington and Masvidal get personal with their insults.
Colby is always known to get under the skin of his rival with insults and the “Chaos” has already laid the groundwork for his upcoming grudge fight. The recent welterweight title contender touches on the Miami fighter’s personal life and calls him a “deadbeat dad” in the intense conversation. Stephen A Smith could not help but let the two fighters continue their verbal warfare as he sat there looking shook.

“He’s a criminal. He is a deadbeat dad,” said Colby to Stephen A Smith. “The only life-altering damage he is doing is to his kids. He doesn’t talk to his kids. He’s a deadbeat man. He’s a nobody, he’s a criminal. I’m gonna expose him next week IF he shows up. He might not show up…he is all talk,” ranted Colby in response to Masvidal’s threats.
While Masvidal has vowed to knock out his former friend, Covington wants to take Jorge to the deep waters and beat him down for five rounds in the main event. UFC 272 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Both the fighters are coming off losses against the champion, Kamaru Usman. Covington went all five rounds against Usman while Masvidal was in the receiving end of a highlight-reel knockout.
