While many MMA fighters have gone against Dana White in recent times, the UFC boss has massive respect from Khabib Nurmagomedov. The Dagestani reveals why he has respect for the White and where the sport of mixed martial arts would be without Dana.
Khabib Nurmagomedov is undoubtedly the greatest lightweight fighter in the UFC’s history. The fighter managed to go undefeated in his career and retired after making three title defenses as a champion. The former UFC champion is now running his own promotion in the name of EAGLE FC and his respect for the former boss, Dana White just keeps getting bigger.
In the recent episode of FULL SEND PODCAST, the Nelk boys had the privilege to interview Khabib ahead of his EAGLE FC debut in the USA. In the podcast, Nurmagomedov talks about the contribution Dana has made to the sport of MMA and credits Dana and the UFC for always giving the fans what they want to see.

“He changed the system,” says Khabib Nurmagomedov on Dana
“I’m very good with Dana, you know. Some people from the MMA community don’t like him but I have big respect for this guy,” said Khabib on the podcast. “How many fights he has made in the last 20-25 years. How many great fights he gave for the fans around the world.” Khabib talks about how Dana completely changed the system in the world of combat sports.
“Even in boxing to make a great fight, they create two fighters for years and years…how Dana changed the system. I love this system. If you are the best, you are gonna fight with the best,” said Nurmagomedov. The former lightweight champion and the UFC President are still in a good relationship.
The fighter also revealed recently that he will be reaching out to the UFC boss for tips on how to run an MMA promotion smoothly. Dana too has said he wishes nothing but the best for Khabib and his promotion. Do you agree with Khabib?
