Conor has been angling for a return at a bigger weight class recently and whichever event he chooses for his return it will undoubtedly be one of the biggest events in UFC history. Conor’s ability to bring eyes to the UFC is unparalleled by any fighter in its history, something the tweet alludes to.

The tweet claims that Conor has bought the UFC and all its fighters up along with him during his meteoric rise but he didn’t get the credit that he deserves for bringing the UFC and it’s fighters to the mainstream, instead fighters disrespect his name, even within his own division. Conor responded writing “I didn’t get the credit, I just got the cash. It’s all love.” Conor’s definitely right when he says that he got the cash as he’s not only the highest paid fighter in the UFC, but one of the best paid athletes in all of sports.

The criticism of fighters not giving Conor credit doesn’t hold much weight. Most fighters openly say that Conor changed the sport and brought attention to the UFC more than anyone else. Fighters’ criticisms of Conor have been mainly about his antics, and sometimes crimes, when not in the octagon. For better or worse Conor is notorious for his actions in and out the UFC.
