Gilbert Burns predicts what will happen at UFC 273 and what to expect from Khamzat Chimaev. 

Burns will take on Chimaev at UFC 273 and the fight has gained a great response from the fight fans. After calling out each other through an internet dispute, both the fighters will finally see each other inside the octagon. Fans are super excited for this bout, maybe more than the main event of UFC 273.

It is well known what Burns can do inside the octagon, he was one of the few fighters who were able to stumble kamaru Usman with his power. Along with that, Burns has a great takedown defense with BJJ skills.

On the other hand, Chimaev is yet to show how good of a fighter he is. In his last fights, he didn’t even require to do much as he dominated all of them easily. For Chimaev, it will be the first-ever serious challenge in the UFC.

Burns recently appeared on the YouTube channel of Helen Yee Sports for an interview. In the interview, the Brazilian talked about his upcoming fight and his game plan. 

While talking about the fight against Chimaev at UFC 273, Burns revealed that he expects everything including striking, wrestling, etc from the Russian. The fighter is confident that he will be able to counter everything and it won’t be an easy contest. Burns explained that the fight is going to be a war with a lot of back-and-forth action.

In the end, Burns concluded that he sees himself winning the bout. “I do believe he’s gonna strike a little bit but I do believe he gonna grapple too. He gonna try to Take me down wrestle …I’ll have a lot of answers to that…I see a war. I don’t think it’ll be easy for me. I don’t think it’ll be easy for him. We gonna grind down,…I see my arm getting raised but I think it’s gonna be a war,” said Burns. 

It will be interesting to see what Chimaev can do when he will take on the #2 welterweight UFC fighters. And whether the winner of the bout gets the title shot against Usman.
