The number 2nd ranked UFC Middleweight fighter, Paulo Costa faced a unanimous decision loss against the number 5th ranked Middleweight fighter, Marvin Vettori at the main event of UFC Vegas 41. Costa showed up ridiculously overweight for this fight and after a series of alterations, this fight got scheduled for the Light Heavyweight weight category.
After his loss, Paulo Costa claimed that he got a bicep tear during the preparation camp for his fight and that was the reason he wasn’t able to make weight. But ‘The Italian Dream’ Marvin Vettori finds this reason a complete lie and everyone in the MMA community ridiculed Costa for his disrespectful attitude towards his opponent and the entire MMA community.
Costa was out from action ever since, but he recently appeared in an interview with Ag. Fight, and he demanded a rematch against Vettori, he said, “I just said to let Dana White know. I’ll fight him now. It’s the only fight that interests me. No one else interests me. Unless if it’s for the title, but I’m no fool. I’m not stupid to consider (title shot) now. I want to fight him. He’s the only viable guy that interests me. If it’s not him, I’m not even interested in fighting. I let Dana White know that.”

Costa has no respect for Vettori, and he is extremely pissed off at him, he wants to take his head off, and he doesn’t even want to compete if the fight is not against him, “I don’t respect him,” Costa said of Vettori. “I want to end his life. He’s an a**hole, a fool. He had this win over me and thinks he’s the man, but he’s an a**hole, a child. We see he’s a goof, he can’t even wear shorts the right way. There’s a photo of him with his shorts backward, and he still thinks he’s the man. But I’ll fight him again. I mean, at least I plan to.”
“I’m not saying I want to fight Vettori because he took my place in the ranking. It’s not about that. It’s because he’s an a**hole. I have to fight him. I have to erase this loss. I want to leave him sidelined for at least a year after the beating I give him. I want to hurt him. I’m angry,” Costa concluded.
