“Interesting dude to deal with”- Dana White hails Conor McGregor as the ‘first real mega-star’ of the UFC
Conor McGregor and Dana White
Dana White who recently appeared on the #1 podcast hosted by Logan Paul and Mike Majlak titled ‘Impaulsive’ on which they talk mostly about influencers and related content.
Dana talks about what he went through as an organizer, the difficulties he faced in his early days and the trouble with the Law and enforcement he faced. Most Important of all, He asks Logan Paul ‘Who he wanted’ for his fight in the UFC as he didn’t say no for him to sign up and fight someone. “Who would you want to fight? You have wrestling and boxing. Did you ever do jiu-jitsu?”
Dana also talked about Jake Paul and Conor McGregor going at each other on Twitter, says that he still doesn’t love him after Jake came at him asking to make fights happen. When Dana was asked about what his experience with Conor was, he said:
“If you look at what he’s done in Europe and Australia for us, in the United States, you know. He’s the first real megastar that the UFC had. So, you know, there have been some interesting times. He’s an interesting dude to deal with, but, for the most part, it’s been awesome.”
White has always been a McGregor fan even though the duo have had a few tiffs here and there over the years, Conor has been the cash cow the UFC has been milking on for quite a while now ‘cuz why not? Conor is the biggest entertainer the UFC has seen who also keeps his end of the bargain whilst trash talking.
“He’s too big for him” Dana White trashes the Idea of Jake Paul fighting McGregor
Jake Paul and Conor McGregor have been going at it on Twitter for some time now as to who would do what in the Octagon or in the ‘Box’. Jake tweeted that he would enter the octagon and finish McGregor and praises his own right hand as ‘The right hand of god’.
When asked if Jake could fight Conor, Dana on the podcast with Logan said “Probably not, no …He shouldn’t be fighting Conor McGregor, the guy is huge. What is he? 6’1, 210 lbs? Conor McGregor fights at 145, 155. There’s weight classes for a reason. It’s a stretch for Conor to even fight at 170, he fought Nate there, but it’s not his weight class, not even close.”
Although, the most recent Tweet from Jake says that he would drop down to 175lbs to fight McGregor but it does seem impossible to be doing so. Jake would have to cut down drastically which would definitely compromise whatever he says his right hand is and well, the rest of it would be no match for McGregor’s agility and brute force. Although Dana says that McGregor isn’t suited for 170lbs and it mostly wouldn’t happen. What do you think?
