Derek Brunson dominated the former title challenger Darren Till for three rounds before submitting him in round number three at the main event of UFC Vegas 36.

Brunson once again proved his dominance in the division as he secured his fifth straight victory after losing to Israel Adesanya back in 2018. He immediately called out Israel Adesanya after his fight, and the response from Izzy was just as interesting.

Brunson called out Izzy and said “You are next boy,” Adesanya took notice of it, and he posted a response from his Twitter account. He wrote, “Calm down…boy. You still a bum…son.”

Brunson has been pretty dominant recently and he believes he is more than ready for a title shot. During the post-fight conference, one of the reporters asked him about his approach given he competes in a rematch against the champion Adesanya.

Brunson said he was hurt during the fight camp, and he certainly has a lot more to bring to the table. “This camp I wasn’t as sharp as I like to be with standup,” Brunson explained. “My standup is a lot better than I was able to show tonight. I was able to get a few things off on the feet. Came with an uppercut, I saw some openings but I like to be sharper.”

He continued, “I was injured for the last three weeks of this camp so I think with that time to spar and really prepare, then my standup is looking really good and I can really pose a threat to Izzy on the feet and definitely on the ground.” (H/T MMA Fighting.com)
