Israel Adesanya reacts to Khamzat Chimaev vs Gilbert Burns
The world just witnessed one of the greatest fights at UFC 273 in Khamzat Chimaev vs Gilbert Burns. UFC middleweight champ Israel Adesanya was stunned after the fight.
Israel Adesanya is as entertaining outside the octagon as he is inside. The last Stylebender has one of the best Fight related channel on YouTube. One of the most popular videos on his channel is when the fighter invites his crew and they react to UFC pay-per-view events. Izzy recently dropped the reaction to UFC 273.
The fight took place at the VyStar Veterans Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. Despite the card featuring two amazing title fights, it is safe to say that Khamzat Chimaev and Gilbert Burns stole the show. Chimaev won the fight via unanimous decision after a blood bath in the octagon against the former welterweight contender. Izzy was impressed by both the fighters.
One of the moments that surprised Izzy was when Chimaev dragged his opponent on the canvas. Chimaev has never not finished his opponent but Burns surely proved to Khamzat that it won’t be a cakewalk in the top of the division. Watch Izzy’s reaction to the fight below:
Khamzat Chimaev vs Israel Adesanya – Will this fight happen?
Israel is currently dominating the middleweight division. The champ has been lapping around the division and has defeated twice now. His next fight is likely to be against top contender Jared Cannonier. Adesanya is coming off a dominant win against Robert Whittaker at UFC 271 and has said publicly that he is looking for “fresh blood” or new contenders.
Chimaev on the other hand is one of the biggest stars the UFC has ever seen. The fighter from Sweden has absolutely taken over the promotion by a storm and has seen a rise to the top like no one else. Khamzat is now 5-0 in the UFC and has fought twice in the middleweight twice and has finished both his opponents. Chimaev has called out Izzy in the past and said he would beat the champ with ease.
Adesanya doesn’t mind fighting Chimaev but expects the “Borz” to prove he is worthy of a title shot. In a recent podcast with Mike Tyson, Adesanya spoke about fighting Chimaev.
