Recently an ecstatic Sean Strickland took to Twitter to announce that the U.S. The Department of Justice would be returning his personal firearms and ammunition after having confiscated it 3 years back.

He tweets, “It’s my gun’s birthday!!!!! DoJ is returning my gun and ammo… after 3 years… happy days!!!” Sean Strickland Books.”

He even goes on to clarify to a fan as to why it was confiscated in the first place, tweeting, “Convicted of violent crimes using a deadly weapon. What was the deadly weapon you ask. Nothing I hit two people once lmao. In California violent crimes or felony wobbles ban you from owning a gun for 10 years. no f***ing clue until they reminded me of the 8th year. I live in NV now.”

In July 2021, Sean shared his story of almost killing someone in California , which brought bad press for him and led to the confiscation of his personal fire arms. Through a social media post he recounts, “For those who are wondering how I almost killed a man. I am at this gathering and I am probably running my mouth being an idiot. Next thing I know, this guy f***ing puts a shotgun onto my head. So my dumb a** punches him in the face. He falls down I take the gun and at that moment I am contemplating if I shoot this mot*****ker in the head is there any legal defense to it.

“Sadly, I looked around there are fu**ing witnesses I thought if I killed this man I’m gonna go to prison. So I unload the gun I give it back and I walked away.”

Sean Strickland is a walking weapon who actually needs no firearms to protect himself. A highly experienced mixed martial artist, he has competed in several divisions of the UFC while having started off as a middleweight fighter.

Surprisingly before his fight Jack Marshman in October 2020, Sean hadn’t stepped into the Octagon for more than two years. Many speculate he was out of the game due to the injuries he sustained, that can be traced back to a motorcycle accident, while some say there were negotiation problems with his contract and others site his anxiety and depression for his long absence.

We, however saw a determined Sean Strickland making a comeback with Jack Marshman and after a 14 day interval finished Brendan Allen in the second round. This was considered pretty impressive as he hadn’t fought for over 2 years.

Taking into consideration Sean’s current six streak win and his form, the “Tarzan” could be pretty soon fighting for the middleweight title, whose current holder is Israel “The Last Stylebender” Adesanya.
