Claressa Shields is a multiple-weight class boxing champion and currently is the world’s best active female light middleweight by The Ring Magazine. Shields decently had been on the news a lot regarding her internet feud against YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul. It all started when the double Olympic gold medalist was asked to fight in Paul’s undercard.

When asked the question, Shields showed annoyance as according to her it is very disrespectful to her and also added that she would beat Paul in any weight division. “I can beat up Jake Paul at the weight class I’m at right now,” said Shields.

After that, Paul got a great opportunity to taunt Shields as she lost her first-ever MMA bout against Abigail Montes in October of last year. As the dispute between both the athletes continued, Paul’s management team BAVAFA Sports also claimed that Shields ‘ team asked them to place her in Paul’s undercard on multiple occasions. After the rumors, Shields rejected every question regarding the matter.

And now there have been new reports that are being surfaced about Shields’ team trying to contact Paul’s advisor Nakisa Bidarian in different PPV events to take part in the undercard. This instance has occurred in different scenarios first when Paul fought basketball player Nate Robinson. The second mail from Shield’s manager when Paul was about to fight Ben Askren.

In the mail, Shield’s manager Mark Taffet tried to make a deal regarding their new plan and to discuss options of Shields’ taking part on the April 17 card. ” We are now beginning a plan for our next fight…we would love to participate on your April 17 card if you have slots available,” wrote Shield’s manager.

As the news spread over the internet, Paul shared the article along with writing a message about forgetting the past and continuing to work in the future. Paul seemed to forget whatever happened and help Shields to continue to build women’s futures in boxing. “Let’s put this behind us and work together to continue to build women’s boxing,” wrote Paul.
