Jake Shields- Buzz McCallister

MMA Legend Jake Shields in his prime was one of the most dangerous fighters in between the middleweight and welterweight divisions. The grappling specialist achieved his peak during his run in Strikeforce when he was the middleweight champion, and when he fought a 25-minute close back and forth against the great Georges St-Pierre for the UFC welterweight championship.

Shields is one of the most well-known faces of the so-called fans “Nick Diaz Army” which is attributed to MMA Legend Nick Diaz and everyone he trains with and fights out of the training centre of the Cesar Gracie Jiu-Jitsu centre. These days, Shields isn’t seen much in competition but is very much present about the things going around the internet and hence doesn’t shy away from giving his opinion on the most contentious issues.

Shields took it to Twitter after Christmas day to talk about a meme that equates his face with that of a movie character. In the movie Home Alone, the male lead character named Kevin McCallister played by Macaulay Culkin has an irritating elder brother by the name of Buzz McCallister, played Devin Ratray. Somehow, Ratray’s face in the movie matches with Shield’s face and both the faces are hence put together in a meme format with the text “Remember Buzz from Home Alone? This is him now. Feel old yet?”
