Volkan Oezdemir on Jamahal Hill

Jamahal Hill knocked the career out of Johnny Walker in a brutal 1st round KO and moves up to #11, looks like a potential candidate for the title shot. Even though the next few opponents could be on a different level, Jamahal looks like he’s going to put everyone to sleep.

Volkan Oezdemir, a 32-year-old Swiss fighter who is coming off back-to-back losses to the current title challenger Jiri Prochazka and rising contender Magomed Ankalaev, had a tweet-off with Hill after the Walker-Hill fight. Hill’s win over Oezdemir or Reyes would help him get his way towards the goal.

Jamahal Hill who thinks Volkan Oezdemir will suffer the same fate as his last two opponents would be a long shot. He did kiss them goodnight very early in the fights which makes it really unpredictable to say that Volkan, who is a couple of ranks ahead, will suffer the same fate. Paul Craig seems like a hurdle in Hill’s way but we might not see the two cross paths any time soon.

Volkan Oezdemir opened the gates to the shitstorm of tweets by saying he was ‘still doubting’ which led to a heated exchange between him and Jamahal. Jamahal responded by saying “My hands will change your life” and a few more better-witted insults.

The fans agree and added that he best fight Oezdemir who already is on the decline and then look forward to the title rather than trying to beat Ryes, which is indeed a tough fight to emerge victorious out of.
