‘We gonna turn Izzy into easy’- Jared Cannonier vows to make short work of Israel in his next fight
Jared Cannonier & Israel Adesanya
Jared Cannonier is keen to be the next title challenger for the longest time. After his recent win against Derek Brunson, it looks like the fighter will get what he desires. Jared Cannonier made sure that he uses this win as an opportunity to capitalize on it by calling for a title shot.
The champion, Israel Adesanya attested to being interested in a fight against him as he now wants to test “Fresh meat.” Even the president of the company, Dana White, stated that Jared is next in line for the title. In the post-fight interview, he said, “I’m not going to say no to Cannonier.”
Cannonier in past stated that a matchup between him and Adesanya would be a good opportunity to showcase his talent as a striker because he believes the Champion would bring the best out of him considering the skills possessed by the champion himself.

Jared Cannonier’s prediction for his match-up against Israel Adesanya
In an interview with The Schmo, Cannonier said his prediction came into fruition against Derek Brunson. He then stated he has come up with another prediction for his fight against Adesanya, he said, “A new prediction for this new one, this next fight. We’ll turn Izzy Adesanya into easy Adesanya.”
One can clearly infer that Cannonier is feeling very confident against Adesanya, it is an exciting match-up as we haven’t seen these two clash before. Regardless, seeing a fresh middleweight contender challenge Adesanya would be interesting, to say the least. The odd makers have the challenger as the underdog.
However, in the sport of MMA nothing can be guaranteed especially if you are fighting top-tier fighters where it’s a battle of milliseconds. Considering the impressive run the challenger has had, it is fair to say that he would give the champion a run for his money as Cannonier is no walk in the park, even for the Adesanya.
