Conor McGregor has not fought in the UFC for a while after breaking his leg at UFC 264. His return back to fighting still appears to be some time away. In the months following his injury, McGregor embarked on a rehabilitation process. During this time, it was observed that the Irishman appeared to have bulked up after the injury. Joe Rogan gave his thoughts on the process.
Consequently, it was widely assumed that he was taking steroids to aid his rehabilitation. However, according to Rogan, this may further impede his recovery. Rogan said, “And you look at Conor after that leg break, he got f*cking jacked. Just huge f*cking shoulders and like – that’s generally not the result of natural hormones. That’s generally the result of exogenous hormone use.”
In addition, Joe Rogan further stated that if an individual were to use steroids for six months, it would take them a year to return to a normal hormonal state. Furthermore, Rogan noted that due to McGregor’s age, it would take a considerable amount of time for his body to produce hormones independently.
After Justin Gaethje beat Dustin Poirier in the main event of UFC 291, McGregor said he wanted to fight for the title of BMF. Around that time, he also fired shots at Charles Oliveira after the Brazilian wrote about him. However, according to Rogan’s speculations, it will probably take some time before McGregor returns.

In a recent Joe Rogan Experience podcast episode, Rogan brought up McGregor’s fight against Jose Aldo. Conor could get into his head with his trash talks and mind games. Conor closely studied and predicted Aldo’s movements and the right hand.
Furthermore, Conor is known to be one of the best strikers in the UFC. Joe talked about Conor and his weigh-ins back in the day and how Conor would easily drop several pounds. Rogan also stated that McGregor could have been an elite boxer if he focused on boxing his whole career.
