Bas Rutten doesn’t like loud music, and his neighbors find that out the hard way. UFC heavyweights can be scary, and one of them is former champion, Bas Rutten. 

Rutten, during an interview with Joe Rogan on the ‘Joe Rogan Experience‘ mentioned how once he had to deal with some loud neighbors. Rutten revealed that he had a fight but his neighbors didn’t let him take some rest and were blasting music. The retired fighter explained that he went down and calmly asked them to stop it but they didn’t comply. 

He said: “I had a Thai boxing match the next day and my neighbours banging music really loud and it was 10 o’clock till 11 to 11:30. So i asked them really nice, ‘Could you please stop it’ and they said sure. Close the door and turned the music up. I go okay. So I put on a jacket, put on a cap and walked down and I walked in close the door.” in the podcast.

He then went on to add, “Right behind the door is where the fuse box are and I opened the thing and I just crushed the whole thing. The whole place goes down. I go ‘I warned you guys'” 

According to Rutten, he went in as if he were invited, and after getting inside, he started breaking the fuse boxes to stop the electric connection. The neighbor must have had a horrific experience watching a heavyweight rip apart his house like that.

During the podcast, both Joe Rogan and Bas Rutten talked about various different topics and one of the major ones was combat sports as expected. The former UFC heavyweight champion discussed the origins of Karate Combat throughout their interview. It was unexpected to learn that Karate Combat was related to Wall Street.

He said: “These are just wall street guys who started this thing. Karate combat, they wanted to start a boxing thing. His wife’s brother, who definitely speak English, said, ‘we should start a boxing or something.’ ‘Maybe we should get these Olympic level Karate Combat and do a full combat show’. And he started googling and there was nothing like that. That’s how it started.”
