“Might be the best that’s ever been at 170”- Joe Rogan advised Conor McGregor to be more careful with his Kamaru Usman call outs
Kamaru Usman and Conor McGregor
Joe Rogan warns McGregor about the dangers of fighting Usman! Conor McGregor is out from a broken foot injury he sustained in his fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. Conor hasn’t competed since July 2021, and he’s been eyeing a welterweight return upon his arrival. Conor has been calling his shots, and he wants to get a title fight against the welterweight champ, Kamaru Usman.

Talking about his return in an interview with The Mac Life, he said, “Myself versus Usman for the 170-pound title in my comeback fight is the one I’m eyeballing at the minute. Why cut the weight? I’ve already won the 155-pound title. And I feel confident against Usman, a jab-happy, sloppy, orthodox wrestler with no submissions whatsoever. What’s he going to do? Where’s the danger here? I don’t see danger. No one has ever obtained three titles in three divisions like I will do if we make this fight.”
There are many in line for the title shot at the welterweight division, and the fact that Conor might get this fight because of his massive fan appeal pisses them off. Dana said they’re not thinking about this at the moment, but if both of them want it, they’ll make it happen.
“He might beat all of them”– Joe Rogan believes Kamaru Usman is capable of beating every welterweight that has ever competed in the UFC
Rogan is a long-time UFC commentator and analyst. He took notice of Conor’s call-out and warned him to be more careful with his words. In his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, he said, “He’s talking about fighting Kamaru Usman. Be careful what you ask for. Usman is a big man, and he’s top of the food chain right now.”
“That’s the best pound-for-pound fighter alive, Usman, and he’s a natural 170,” Rogan said. “I would put Kamaru Usman up against any 170-pound fighter that’s ever lived. I’m not saying that he would beat Georges St-Pierre, I’m not saying he would beat all of them, but he might beat all of them. He might be the best that’s ever been at 170. He’s as good as they get. He’s got ferocious knockout power, he’s elite at wrestling, nobody puts him on his back.”
