“He looked ins*ne”, Joe Rogan picks this Oscar-winning actor’s portrayal of the iconic JOKER as the ‘Most Realistic’

UFC commentator and comedian Joe Rogan is an avid fan of movies. Rogan has talked about movies on his podcast on multiple occasions. On one of the podcast episodes with Joe List as the guest, the duo delved into the topic of the best portrayal of Joker in the movie. List liked Heath Ledger‘s portrayal in The Dark Knight by Christopher Nolan as the best one.

However, Rogan had a different opinion. This is what he said about it on the podcast.

Joaquin Phoenix is the scariest one because that one's the most realistic, the most probable. That movie showed the ultimate collapse of society, taking things down and burning to the ground. This one f*cking maniac leading the charge, and that dude was an amazing Joker. He looked f*cking ins*ne in that movie.

Rogan liked the portrayal of Joaquin Phoenix in the movie Joker by Todd Phillips. He found it to be the scariest and most probable of all portrayals. Rogan’s assessment did have a point, as Phoenix would later win the Academy Award for Best Actor for the portrayal.

In addition to Ledger and Phoenix, Jack Nicholson and Jared Leto have portrayed the character. However, List and Rogan did not find Nicholson’s performance noteworthy. Moreover, they even failed to mention Leto’s performance.

Joe Rogan considered Joaquin Phoenix’s portrayal of the iconic nemesis of the superhero Batman to be the best. Moreover, he also found the movie Joker one of the best movies ever made. Rogan talked about it on his podcast numerous times.

Rogan previewed the movie on JRE with Lenny Clarke as the guest. He found the movie to be very sick but also a masterpiece work. This is what he said.

I mean it's a f*cked up sick movie, but that's what they were trying to do, right? It's the greatest f*cked up sick movie I think I've ever seen...It's one of the darkest movies. There's not a funny f*cking moment in that movie, huh? There's not a happy moment in that movie, but it's a masterpiece.

Many of the fighters in the UFC are big fans of the MCU and DCEU. In the UFC, “Joker” is the nickname used by middleweight contender Jack Hermansson. Interestingly, UFC welterweight Kevin Holland has an unofficial nickname, “The Batman,” due to his penchant for saving people’s lives and stopping crimes.
