UFC commentator Joe Rogan supports the legalization of Marijuana. Rogan is an avid user of Marijuana. However, Rogan does not smoke cigarettes as he believes it to be bad for his health. Rogan also does Testosterone Replacement Therapy, which he credited for his energetic life.
Rogan spoke of his disdain for cigarettes on his podcast, the Joe Rogan Experience. He even famously went on a rant to bash cigarettes even though he smoke Marijuana. Nevertheless, this is what he said:
I don't allow cigarettes I'm pretty sure it gives you cancer. I see people smoking cigarettes, I know they get tired quicker, I know it's terrible for you. So I don't allow it when I see people smoking cigarettes I'm like what? You allowed cigarettes into his life and that's what you're doing. Like it's not that I couldn't get addicted. I think we could all get addicted. If I started smoking cigarettes and I realized oh there's a cognitive benefit to smoking on these things. I'm just gonna puff on a couple of things, maybe a half a pack if I'm stressed. Next thing you know I'm freaking out because I can't get a pack of cigarettes. Why? Because I have allowed this demon into my lifeJoe Rogan via JRE

Rogan’s disdain for cigarettes is due to health and addiction-related reasons. Like Rogan, there are many fighters in the UFC who smoke Marijuana but do not smoke cigarettes. Nate Diaz is famous for his Marijuana use. Earlier, USADA had Marijuana as a banned substance. However, they removed it in the recent past. Nick Diaz famously got a multiyear suspension from the Athletic Commission due to Marijuana use when Marijuana was on the banned list.
Rogan recently commentated at UFC 296, the final PPV of 2023. His next assignment is probably at UFC 298, headlined by Alexander Volkanovski and Ilia Topuria in Miami. UFC 297, headlined by Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis, is in Canada, and Rogan only performs commentary duty on domestic PPVs.
