One of the most significant MMA celebrities outside of fighters is Joe Rogan. He became the main spokesperson for the UFC through his expertise and knowledge of combat sports. In an episode of the podcast, a female Muay Thai fighter, Miriam Nakamoto revealed a story about her boyfriend.

The fighter recalled watching her boyfriend get beat up in a fight. Her significant other gave up and threw his hands to protect himself. Joe Rogan then asked if it bothered her.

Miriam Nakamoto is a Muay Thai fighter and has a perfect record of 16-0. She had a kickboxing of 14 wins and no losses. In terms of standup fighting, she ranks among the best female strikers in the world. After leaving kickboxing, she started her MMA journey in 2012. She amassed a record of two wins and a loss. Her loss came against former UFC title challenger Lauren Murphy. She retired from combat sports in 2013.

Joe Rogan claims Muay Thai is more exciting than football

The UFC commentator has been a fan and practitioner of combat sports for most of his life. Rogan in a podcast with comedian friend Andrew Schulz made a daring suggestion. Despite the popularity of American football, Rogan believes the athletes would be much safer competing in Muay Thai.

To me, it is way more exciting than football. If those football players all decided to do Muay Thai, it would be better for their brains, believe it or not - to be a fighter. And you'd see these elite athletes smashing each other!
