One of the most significant MMA celebrities outside of fighters is Joe Rogan. He became the main spokesperson for the UFC through his expertise and knowledge of combat sports. In an episode of the podcast, a female Muay Thai fighter, Miriam Nakamoto revealed a story about her boyfriend.
The fighter recalled watching her boyfriend get beat up in a fight. Her significant other gave up and threw his hands to protect himself. Joe Rogan then asked if it bothered her.

In terms of standup fighting, she ranks among the best female strikers in the world. After leaving kickboxing, she started her MMA journey in 2012. She amassed a record of two wins and a loss. Her loss came against former UFC title challenger Lauren Murphy. She retired from combat sports in 2013.
