Hilarious! A Quebec newspaper uses Daniel Cormier’s picture for Jon Jones’ latest arrest

Jon Jones was arrested in the early hours of September 25 in Las Vegas, just a few hours after the 2020 UFC Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. He was in Las Vegas with his entire family, since his fight against Alexander Gustafsson in September 2013, was inducted into the fight wing of the UFC Hall of Fame.
The very next day, Jon Jones was arrested by the Las Vegas Metro Police Department. The reason? He was charged with battery domestic violence. And more recently shocking reports emerged that he had attacked his wife (pulled her hair) in the presence of their children. Jessie Jones’, Jones’ fiance, fled with her children, fearing Jones. The UFC heavyweight was released after posting bail.
Daniel Cormier in place of Jon Jones
In a hilarious report by a Quebec newspaper, Daniel Cormier’s photo was used in place of Jones, while providing the news about the arrest. And it wasn’t even a proper picture of DC, it was a picture from one of his weigh-ins. The language used was French.
Cormier and Jones formed one of the greatest rivalries in the history of the UFC. The pair fought twice, once in 2015 and finally in 2017. Jones earned a victory the first time (at UFC 182) – a unanimous decision win. The next time, Cormier was knocked out by a Jones headkick. However, the match was deemed a no-contest after Jones tested positive for a turinabol metabolite.
DC is now retired and is plying his trade as the UFC colour commentator. He also has a show on ESPN, alongside former NFL Star Ryan Clark – DC & RC show. Jones, on the other hand, has his future in jeopardy. He hasn’t competed since moving to the heavyweight division, and given his run-in with the law, it is not sure when he would be back in action.
