Jon Jones whips out his UFC Hall of Fame jacket, plans to achieve bigger goals

Jon Jones has had a topsy turvy MMA career. His actions outside the octagon have caused him a lot of affliction. No matter people’s opinions of him one cannot hide the fact that Jones is one of the greatest and most determined talents ever witnessed in the sport. He is preparing for his long-anticipated heavyweight debut. Jones wants the best of the best in this division, even after a long lay off he doesn’t shy away from a challenge.
He himself claimed that when he took to Twitter to express the same. He stated “The greatest heavyweight of all time versus the greatest light heavyweight, who wants to see it? I’m game.”
Jones currently is not in the rankings as he relinquished his light heavyweight world title after his bout against Dominick Reyes at UFC 247. Many fans around the world and MMA analysts were to believe that Jon Jones had lost that particular bout. The bout prior to that against Thiago Santos was a close one as well. It was speculated in the MMA community that Jon is now not prime to be a light heavyweight due to aging and frequent weight cuts.
Jon took to Twitter to acknowledge that maybe the speculations were indeed true due to the last few performances, where he stated, “My candle for light heavyweight blew out, it showed in my last fight, instead of being discouraged by a bad performance, I’m stoked about this new season. New energy. My time at LWH was over, I see that more clear today than ever.”

Jones Jones was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame for his legendary fight against Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 165. Jon Jones took to Instagram where he expressed that while cleansing his closet he came across the jacket that was bestowed to him for the same.
Jon Jones posted a video on Instagram stories where he stated “I was just doing some spring cleaning. [I was] cleaning all the closets and I came across this old thing.”
The goal of Jones of becoming the heavyweight champion is yet to be accomplished, however, it is clear the legend is in good spirits and motivated to work extremely hard to make this said dream a reality soon. The next potential opponent of the fighter is unsure as the division is halted because Francis Ngnnaou is injured and is focused on recovery. Despite that opponent, it is evident as fans are eager to see the much-awaited return of Jones and it would be a massive event when he does come back at heavyweight.
