Jake Paul earned the biggest win of his boxing career when he picked a decision victory over former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in his last fight.
Many MMA fighters and experts predicted Woodley to knock Paul out, one such star is the UFC “BMF” title holder Jorge Masvidal. He helped Jake prepare for his fight against Ben Askren but he backed Woodley in this way.
Jake was bothered by this, and he called out Masvidal. Now Jake has claimed Jorge is texting him drunk, and his messages are really stupid and grammatically incorrect. He said, “The most recent one is Masvidal and I, literally in the DMs just going back and forth with each other. He can’t type by the way. Like he legit can’t type, it’s the weirdest thing. I said ‘Bro, you need to get a grammar book because all this writing is f—king your s—t up. I think he was drunk when he was.”
Jake then went on to read a message from Masvidal, it said, “I fight because I love it, man. Money ain’t shit. I got tons of it. ‘I fight so I can brake (sic) ‘fools’ faces and enjoy the ride. You know you could ever see and chage (sic).” (h/t MiddleEasy.com)
Jake Paul is not interested in a rematch against Woodley, eyes Tommy Fury as a possible opponent
Woodley demanded an immediate rematch after losing the bout, Jake agreed to it only if Woodley would get fulfill “the tattoo bet.” Woodley recently stated that he would get the tattoo he is only waiting for Jake to sign the contract.
Now Jake has stated that he is not interested in a fight against Woodley, he sees Tommy Fury as the next possible opponent. “I’m like, ‘Where’s the tattoo?’ Now he’s saying you have to sign the contract and then I’ll get the tattoo,” Paul said. Jake also got his own tattoo artist to the fight.
“I think Tommy Fury’s probably at the top of that list,” Paul continued. “He’s skilled. He’s undefeated. He’s Tyson Fury’s brother and he’s a real boxer. He has like four million followers on Instagram, good engagement. He has the fans from the relationship thing like they fell in love on a show or some shit like that. I almost want to go into a fight where it’s like, ‘There’s no way he’s going to do this.’ I just want to continue to prove people wrong.”
