Jorge Masvidal rallies behind Ron DeSantis’ charge against the introduction of a ‘disinformation bureau’

It’s not a secret that Jorge Masvidal is one of the most outspoken fighters in MMA who is willing to speak his heart out. The fighter has always been very active when it comes to politics and has shown his support towards the former US president, Donald Trump.
After Trump’s time as president got over and Joe Biden was announced as the new president, Masvidal was one of the fighters who showed his clear disappointment. Since then, the ‘Gamebred’ has been pretty consistent with criticizing and trolling Biden’s decisions.
In September 2021, Masvidal went all out against Biden’s new policy regarding the COVID-19 mandate. The mandate suggested that the majority of the employees get their workforce fully vaccinated and have proof of negative test results. In the same mandate, Biden prompted parents to protect their kids under 12. Masvidal took to Twitter and showed his disapproval towards the president.
Like Jorge Masvidal, another fighter who supports Trump is Colby Covington. Covington has always been vocal about his positive opinions of Trump. But things didn’t go well when Covington and Masvidal went against each other during their grudge fight at UFC 272. During the press conference, Covington called out Masvidal for being a fake Trump supporter and still having his Obama phone.
He said : ” you took f Obama phone. Hey, you still got your Obama phone?….yeah you f did you lying a f piece of s.”
Jorge Masvidal proves Covington wrong by sticking to his anti-Biden campaign
Masvidal recently shared a tweet made by Ron DeSantis who is the 46th Governor of the state of Florida. The tweet was a statement made by DeSantis regarding Biden’s new administration.
He revealed that they are totally against the creation of a ‘ disinformation’ bureau as it is not ideal for constitutional values.
” The Biden Administration’s creation of a “disinformation” bureau within DHS is effectively a Ministry of Truth that is alien to our constitutional tradition. Florida rejects Biden’s attempt to enforce regime-approved narratives and to stifle dissent. “
Masvidal shared the tweet and captioned it by writing ” This ? .” In order to show his support towards DeSantis and disapprove of Biden’s new move.
By doing this, Masvidal is being true to his opinions that he earlier made. Nowadays, where most of the UFC superstars are not willing to speak on political matters, there are individuals like Masvidal and Covington who have been extremely active regarding their ideologies.
