This fight was long due, for the fans, and also for the fighters too. Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington are two of the biggest draws in the UFC roster. The two fighters never failed to disappoint, be it inside the octagon, or their exciting press conferences. UFC has heard the fan’s wish and is in the works to make the stars fight each other on March 5th.

UFC 272 is scheduled to take place in March at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Colby and Jorge are most likely to be fighting in the main event with no title in line but for five rounds. This news was first reported by ESPN’s Brett Okamoto. UFC’s Chief Business Officer Hunter Campbell revealed this news to ESPN on Tuesday.

Colby and Masvidal go way back. The two went from being roommates to becoming one of the biggest rivals in the UFC. Jorge and Colby have been wanting to fight each other for a long time and the time has finally arrived. When ESPN had reached out to Colby Covington asking for a confirmation, “The Chaos” had only one response, “He better f**king show up.”

Both the superstars are coming off losses. The only thing common for both the fighters is that Kamaru Usman has been the fighter that has handed them both their defeats. Colby’s loss is much recent, where he went to the deep waters against the champion at UFC 268 and lost the fight after a fantastic display.

Meanwhile, Masvidal’s last fight was against Usman at UFC 261 where he was put to sleep by Usman’s one-punch KO. “Gamebred” was then scheduled to fight top-ranked Leon Edwards but the fighter from Florida had to pull out of the fight owing to an injury. Who do you think steals the show at UFC 272? “Gamebred” Masvidal or “Chaos” Covington?
