Jose Aldo is considered one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time. He has been the champion in multiple organizations for almost a decade. He was the undisputed featherweight champion of the world before losing the belt to Conor McGregor via a first-round knockout. Aldo is now almost 35 years of age and is showing no signs of slowing down.

In his last fight, he took on and defeated Pedro Munhoz quite comfortably. Aldo who is now fighting in the Bantamweight division of the UFC wants to take on the reigning champion Sterling. The Brazilian recently called for a title shot on Twitter, tweeting “I would be next on merit and I’m here accepting your challenge, Dana White send me the contract soon before he changes his mind.” It remains to be seen if Jose Aldo will fight for the belt anytime soon or not.

Sterling recently emerged victorious in his latest title defense against Petr Yan. He won the main event of the UFC 273 through a split decision. He proved many MMA fans and critics wrong as he was entering this fight as a heavy underdog. Aljamain Sterling now has a target on his back with Aldo calling him out on Twitter. 

Dana also thought Yan did enough to win the fight against Sterling, and the judges messed up their results. Sterling called out Dana after this, and he wrote, “Hey man, when are we having a sit-down? We clearly have a lot to discuss.” We will get to know if we see a fight between the future Hall of Famer Aldo and the current reigning and defending champion of the Bantamweight division.
