Kai Kara-France is all set to fire against his highly talented opponent Askar Askarov in an upcoming flyweight bout at UFC Columbus.

A very decisive matchup for the flyweight division is coming as the two top-ranked fighters take on each other. New Zealand’s Kai Kara-France and Russia’s Askar Askarov will be fighting each other in what could be the next title challenger fight. The winner of this fight is highly likely to fight for the title.

Kai is currently ranked #6 in the UFC ranking chart while the Russian sits on top of the food chain at the #2 spot. Askarov is yet to be stopped by a fighter in his professional career and “Don’t Blink” believes he is the man to do it. In his recent Instagram post, the fighter posted a picture to let his fans know that he is all set and done with his training camp and is en route to Columbus, Ohio.

“Camp done,” wrote Kara-France on his latest IG post. “See you soon Columbus, Ohio!” Kai is currently 23-9-0 in his professional career and has been on a fantastic two-fight winning streak. The fighter trains at the City Kickboxing Gym and is very hyped to get into the octagon with his opponent, Askarov.

Kai Kara-France and Askar Askarov will take on each other in the main card of UFC Fight Night 205. The two fighters are very determined to get the title shot and will give it all inside the octagon. In a recent interview with “It’s time for Sports” Kara-France spoke about his fight and gave his fans an insight on what to expect in the upcoming bout.

“Definitely wonderful fight for me,” said Kai in the interview with It’s Time for Sports. Everyone watching back home, you know, if you saw my last fight you just expect fireworks. Expect, you know, bad intentions, violence, and highlight-reel knockouts!”

Kai Kara-France is coming off a win against former bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt at UFC 269. He knocked out Cody in the first round making a statement in the flyweight division. Kara-France has two finishes in 2021 and both of them in the first round.
