An interesting matchup between Kevin Holland and Kylie Daukaus has been booked, and they are expected to meet in the upcoming UFC Fight Night scheduled for 2 October 2021.

The news was confirmed by MMA Fighting on Monday. Both the fighters have verbally agreed to face each other but the contracts are yet to be signed, the proposed date is 2nd October, however, it can change depending upon the future scenario.

Holland was on an incredible 5-0 run in 2020, with highlight knockouts over the likes of Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza. Holland then got his big chance against Derek Brunson where he lost the fight via unanimous decision.

Then Holland went on to face the former title challenger Marvin Vettori, he stepped in against Vettori as a last-minute replacement and again lost the fight via unanimous decision, these two fights revealed Holland’s weak grappling, and he immediately started training on this with the UFC legend Daniel Cormier at ATT.

Holland will be looking to get back in the win column with this one.

Daukaus came in the UFC with a perfect record of 8-0, he used to compete at Cage Fury Fighting Championships and Ring of Combat, he lost his last fight against Phil Hawes at UFC Fight Night: Rodriguez vs Waterson.

This is going to be the biggest test of Daukaus so far in the UFC, and a win over Holland can catapult his career and maybe get him in the rankings. However, getting past “The Trailblazer” won’t be an easy task, with two consecutive losses on his side he will be as dangerous as ever.

The October 2nd event is supposed to be headlined by the light heavyweights Thiago Santos and Johnny Walker.
