Khabib Nurmagomedov is the former UFC lightweight champion, The Dagestani dominated the lightweight scene all throughout his career, and he retired with a perfect record of 29-0. Khabib’s relentless wrestling was unmatched, and the level of domination we saw from him is unbelievable.
One of the biggest rivalries in the history of MMA is between Khabib and Conor McGregor. It all started when Khabib confronted Conor’s teammate Artem Lobov and slapped him backstage. Conor was furious after this, and he attacked Khabib’s bus with a bunch of people and threw a dolly at the window. Conor was later arrested for this, and the buildup for their title fight was on another level.
We all know how that went down, Khabib choked out Conor in the 4th round, and he jumped the fence to attack Conor’s teammate as well. Khabib was taken out from the arena, and the rematch between these two never happened but it remained one of the most anticipated matches of this era.

Khabib talked about this during his appearance on Full Send Podcast, and he claimed Conor didn’t deserve to fight him again, he said, “This one makes me upset too, because I expect more than what I find inside the cage, I expect more. Then after what happened, honestly, I don’t remember everything, I’m gonna be honest. I remember someone from his corner saying something and it was crazy emotional moment for me. I’m like ‘okay, this party not finished.’”
Talking about Conor, he said, “I think he was happy, of course. What’s gonna happen if referee was not there? They never ask me to fight again. Of course not. UFC say like, ‘Why we have to make this fight again. You have to win some, then maybe we gonna make. But right now, you kill him four rounds, you finish him, he tap, there is like no reason. Why we have to make rematch?’”
