Eagle FC is currently on its way to becoming one of the fastest-growing MMA promotions in America. If things go well it might compete with the big dogs such as UFC and Bellator. Backed by the popularity of Khabib Nurmagomedov and investors such as Rizvan Magomedov, Eagle FC might be the next big thing.

The promotion gained massive popularity with his first-ever event, Eagle FC 44 in January 2022. The event was live-streamed free across the globe in order to gather more viewership. From the start, Eagle FC is focused extensively on signing former MMA superstars, mainly retired UFC fighters. For fans to see their favourite fighters fight again is very interesting.

This works both ways as the fighters get a second chance in their career and the promotion gets his marketing. Kevin Lee, Renan Barão, Rashad Evans, Antônio Silva, Junior dos Santos, Ray Borg etc are some of the notable former UFC fighters that Eagle FC have signed.

Poirier is known for his extensive number of tweets and fan interactions on his official Twitter account. The fighter likes to tweet his heart out and reply to others’ questions.

In a recent tweet, the fighter proposed a new idea for UFC to have new weight classes. Poirier claimed that it would be great if UFC came up with a 162lbs or 165lbs division. ” We need 162lbs or a 165lbs division,” wrote Poirier.

After the Tweet was made, Eagle FC’s official Twitter account took the opportunity to make its move. They replied to Poirier’s tweet with two emojis ” ??”. The message through the emojis was simple and was referring to Poirier to join Eagle FC if he wants to be in their 165lbs division.

Recently, Eagle FC made headlines when they introduced the super lightweight (165) lbs in their promotion. Many athletes thought the idea is impressive and other promotions should try that too.

Although it is a long shot for the promotion considering that ‘The Diamond’ is a megastar in UFC and earns a lot of money there. But it won’t be a surprise if he decides to make the move in future.
