“His whole heart gonna stop”- Khamzat Chimaev sends a scary message to Gilbert Burns ahead of UFC 273
Khamzat Chimaev sends a strong message to Gilbert Burns
Khamzat Chimaev is all set to entertain his fans at UFC 273 but before that, he sends out a warning to his opponent Gilbert Burns and the rest of the welterweight division.
UFC 273 takes place on April 9th at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. The PPV event might feature two stunning title fights in the main and co-main event but Khamzat Chimaev vs Gilbert Burns is truly the fight that will be filling up the seats and rising the PPV buys.
With only a week left before one of the most dominant fighters the UFC has witnessed takes the center stage, Chimaev has put out a video to warn the welterweight division. There is no doubt that Khamzat is one of the craziest fighters the UFC has witnessed in the octagon and his recent threat to Burns is even crazier.
“Nobody see this animal like here brother,” said Khamzat as he rests in the swimming pool. “The animal will take over. The champion is sh*t, brother. I am the king. I am the king, brother. I take over everything in the game. Smash everybody. We take Gilbert like this [pretends to pounce out of the water], then his whole heart gonna stop.”
Khamzat Chimaev is a massive favorite against Gilbert Burns
Chimaev is only four fights into the UFC and is already a favorite to be the next welterweight champion. The rising superstar is currently 10-0 in his professional mixed martial arts career and has finished every opponent he faced. Chimaev is coming off a win against Li Jing Liang at UFC 267 and will be taking on one-time title contender Gilbert Burns next week.
Burns is ranked #2 and is one of the best fighters on the UFC roster. Gilbert also has a record of 20-4-0 in his entire professional career and is coming off a dominant win against Stephen Thompson. Despite Burns’ credentials, the betting odds are massively favoring the fairly new welterweight.
Khamzat is a -550 favorite while the former title contender is a +400 underdog, according to BetOnline. MMA fans and critics were shocked to see the betting odds and believe Burns deserves more respect as a fighter. Do you think Chimaev can go the distance in his UFC career?
