“U left him”- Conor McGregor recalls Tyson Fury’s cowardice amid Tommy Saunders scuffle as he praises the Irishman’s archnemesis
Tyson Fury- Conor McGregor
UFC megastar Conor McGregor is all bad blood against anybody that has something to say about him, especially in favour of his arch-rival, retired mixed-martial artist Khabib Nurmagomedov. This time, McGregor targetted a name, not from MMA but rather from the boxing world. There he is, yet to fight inside the Octagon from the last time, but already with a lot of beefs in the fight business.
McGregor last fought at UFC 264 against Dustin Poirier when he lost the fight due to doctor stoppage after the first round, resulting from a sudden fracture in the shin bone. Since then, McGregor has almost completed his physical recovery after the needed surgery and is very close to starting with his MMA training as per his head coach John Kavanagh.
“Respect Khabib”- that’s where Tyson Fury messed with Conor McGregor
McGregor, the former 2-division champion in the UFC, and the first-simultaneous double champion of UFC took apart boxing’s heavyweight champion Tyson Fury on Twitter. Almost a couple of weeks ago, Fury took to Twitter to appreciate former UFC lightweight champion and undefeated, retired mixed martial artist Khabib Nurmagomedov for a successful fighting career. Fury basically posted a photo of Khabib and wrote in the caption: “This man did it right. Got in & won & got out on top. Big respect @TeamKhabib“
In response to Fury’s appreciation post for his rival Khabib who he fought back in 2018, McGregor wrote “Yup the Joyces. Big Joe ! U bottled it with Billy joe Da , what were you doing there ? ULeft him, Versace twat U.Done.Nothing. Ya’s did it right ye right hahahahaaj. Even when I’m wrong i’m right. Who did it right ? The Mac daddy tonight, in house. Miami d12! Bahamas [inserts Bahamas flag’s emoji] #skyjuice“
McGregor is basically talking about the time when Fury’s friend, fellow countryman, and famous English boxer Billy Joe Saunders’ dad was shoved heavy by a security member during Saunders’ fight with boxing great Canelo Alvarez. In the minor scuffle that broke out right after Saunders’ dad was shoved, Fury tried to calm things down verbally but refrained from intervening physically. This led to Fury receiving backlash from fighters like Dillian Whyte eventually.
What do you make of McGregor’s beef against Fury? Do you think it was necessary for McGregor to intervene in Fury’s respect for his arch-nemesis Khabib? Who do you think is next for McGregor inside the UFC Octagon? Also, who do you think wins between the undefeated boxer Fury and his upcoming opponent Dillian Whyte?
