Mark Hunt, a former UFC fighter shared his views regarding the unequal treatment of UFC towards its fighter. Recently Francis Ngannou’s altercation with the promotion has caught everyone’s eye in the fighting world.

Francis is not happy with the way the promotion is treating him and he has been vocal about it. In addition to that, there are other financial and clause-related issues in his contract. After speaking up for which, Ngannou is on a verge of quitting the UFC.

Recently, before his fight against Ciryl Gane, Ngannou’s manager Marquel Martin received a threat from the UFC as he had contacted Paul’s manager. This is not the only instance where UFC has had a problem with fighters. UFC Hall of Famer Jon Jones currently has financial issues going on with the promotion. Fighters like Cung Le, Nathan Quarry, Jon Fitch, Brandon Vera, Luis Javier Vazquez, and Kyle Kingsbury have even filed a class-action lawsuit for underpayment and other issues.

Mark Hunt was talking with Submission Radio. He was questioned about the unequal treatment UFC gives to Its fighters. Answering to which he replied:

They are a bunch of grubs stealing on everyone. For me it’s sad. The sport of MMA should be flourishing…if we don’t succeed in these lawsuits these companies like UFC are gonna tighten their contract so you can’t even breathe. That is what they are going to do. Now they are gonna learn from guys like me who are suing them and say ohh shucks how does this guy get this far…Fighters are living on their knees. As an old man when something happens like this I am the first person to say something.”

According to Mark Hunt, UFC needs to realize how unfairly they are treating their fighters and the way to do that is by succeeding in these lawsuits. Hunt sued the promotion for allowing Brock Lesnar to fight against him when Dana White and the UFC had prior knowledge of Lesnar’s use of PEDs. As long as the ones suing the promotion won’t succeed, fighters will be living under their knees, he believes.
